Getting Started with Veterian

Copy page

These guides cover the day-to-day work of running a clinic on Veterian: where each screen is, what the fields mean, and the steps to finish a job. They assume your clinic already has an account.

What is Veterian? is the orientation page. It covers the modules in the left menu and who the software is for.

If your clinic is new to Veterian, work through these in order. Each step depends on the one before it.

  1. Add your users, veterinarians and staff. Define roles first, then create the accounts. Nobody can be booked for an appointment until their calendar and visit-type settings are in place.
  2. Add a client and their pet. These are the records everything else attaches to.
  3. Create an appointment. This shows how the calendar leads into a visit.
  4. Record a visit. The medical record: examination notes, treatments and prescriptions.
  5. Create an invoice. The billing flow, from visit through to payment.
