Treatments, prescriptions and invoice lines are picked from this catalogue. Set it up before the clinic starts working in Veterian.
Where to Find This Section
Section titled “Where to Find This Section”Products & Services in the left menu. It has three lists: Products, Medications and Services.
How to Add an Item
Section titled “How to Add an Item”- Click New Product & Service.
- Under Select Product Type, choose the type.
- Fill in the form and click Save.

| Product | Select this option to create new product into your product list. |
| Service | Select this option to create new service that you will offer to your customers. |
| Medication | Select this option to create new medication. Medications are products that are used to treat diseases and conditions. |
The type cannot be changed later. If you chose the wrong one, add the item again under the right type.

Turn Included in Medical Record off for items you only sell, such as toys and accessories. If an item is missing when you record a treatment, check this switch first.
Prices
Section titled “Prices”Sale Price and Tax (%) are required. Tick Is Tax Included if the sale price you entered already includes tax. The form shows the price without tax, the price with tax and the tax amount.
Cost Price is optional and is not asked for services. When you enter it, the form also shows Profitability.
Products and medications have stock. Services don’t.

When the stock reaches the critical level, the item’s page shows The current stock is below the critical stock limit. Please restock the product.
Stock goes down on its own when an invoice is issued and when a treatment is recorded. See Create an invoice and Record a treatment.
Correct the Stock
Section titled “Correct the Stock”To record a delivery or fix a count, open the item and click New Stock Adjustment.
- Choose the Transaction Type. Stock Receipt covers Purchased, Returned and Other. Stock Issue covers Damaged, Expired, Used and Other.
- Enter the Quantity.
- For a receipt, you can enter Total Cost Including Tax and tick Update Product Cost Price.
- Click Save.
The button appears only on items with stock tracking on.
