Printed Documents

Veterian prints from the record rather than from a separate documents screen: you open what you want on paper, and the print action is on that page. This guide is the map of which document lives where.

Every document opens in a preview first, so you can check it before it reaches a printer or a client.

DocumentWhere the action isWhat it holds
Patient CardThe pet’s recordThe patient and owner summary
Patient Vaccination CardThe pet’s recordThe vaccination history, in three variants
Patient Medical RecordsThe pet’s recordEvery visit recorded for that patient
Print Visit RecordThe visitOne day’s care: findings, treatments, plan
PrescriptionThe visit’s prescriptionThe issued prescription
InvoiceThe invoiceWhat the client owes or has paid
Surgery Consent Form · Euthanasia Consent FormThe pet’s record, under FormsA consent form for the owner to sign
Customer cardThe client’s recordThe owner’s history with the clinic

The printer menu on a patient carries most of them. What you see depends on your permissions: the vaccination cards need vaccination access, and the medical records need visit access. See Users and roles.

The difference is what the body of the card lists, and picking the right one saves explaining:

VariantPrints
Patient Vaccination CardEverything on record
Patient Vaccination Card (Administered)Only what has actually been given
Patient Vaccination Card (Administered and Upcoming)What has been given, and what is due next

Give an owner the administered card when they need proof of what the animal has had — travel, boarding, a groomer. Give them the administered and upcoming card when the point is to bring them back.

Print Visit Record produces the day’s clinical record. The prescription prints separately from the prescription section, because it is the document the owner takes to a pharmacy and usually the only part they need. See Write a prescription.

An invoice prints from the invoice itself. This is the paper copy — issuing a legal electronic invoice is a different action. See Create an invoice and, in Turkey, E-documents.

Surgery Consent Form and Euthanasia Consent Form sit under Forms on the patient, and print with the patient’s and owner’s details already filled in, ready to sign.

You can edit the fields and texts on these documents from the clinic admin panel.

The settings are clinic-wide rather than per document, so a change to a heading or a field applies to everything printed from then on. Existing paper is unaffected — these are printed documents, not stored ones.
