Visits and Medical Records

The visit is the medical record. Everything the clinic did for a patient on one day is recorded on it: examination notes, treatments, prescriptions and follow-ups. The invoice for that work is produced from the visit at checkout.
A visit does not start from an empty form — you check the patient in first, and Veterian creates the visit from that.

Worth Knowing First
Section titled “Worth Knowing First”- A patient can only have one visit open at a time. If check-in is refused, an earlier visit is still open.
- Treatments are not only a medical note. The same line is the stock movement and the invoice line, which is why deleting one affects more than the record.
- The Flowboard is not a separate tracker. Its columns are the visit’s own statuses, so moving a card there changes the record.
