Communication Tools
Copy page
Everywhere else in Veterian, a message goes to one client because of something that happened to their pet. Communication Tools is the opposite: you start from a group of clients and send them all the same thing.
You can send bulk SMS or WhatsApp messages to your customers and track their impact.Where to Find This Section
Section titled “Where to Find This Section”Communication Hub in the left menu.
What It Holds
Section titled “What It Holds”| Group | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Client Follow-ups | Reminders for overdue vaccinations, unpaid invoices and check-ups, and upcoming birthdays |
| Campaigns / Broadcasts | Sending one announcement to all your clients |
| Conversations | The WhatsApp inbox, where clients write back |
| Records | What was sent, to how many people, and whether it went out |
Guides in This Section
Section titled “Guides in This Section”| Guide | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Client follow-ups | The three built-in lists, how each one is filled, and what the client receives |
| SMS and WhatsApp broadcasts | Writing a broadcast, why WhatsApp needs a template and SMS does not, and the credit each one costs |
| WhatsApp inbox | Reading and answering what clients send, the 24-hour reply window, and who can reply |
Who Actually Receives a Message
Section titled “Who Actually Receives a Message”A client on the list is not necessarily a client who gets the message. Bulk sending respects the same switches as everything else: if the client has that channel turned off on their own record, they are skipped, and the screen tells you how many that is before you send. {{count}} customers cannot be reached because notifications are turned off.
This is the number to read before you decide a send did not work. See Notification settings.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Bulk sending draws on the clinic’s message credits, and the screen shows the balance and what this send will cost before you commit: Available Credits and SMS Credits to be Deducted. If the balance is short, the send is refused rather than partly delivered.
What Was Sent
Section titled “What Was Sent”Communication History is the record. View the messages you have sent before. Each row carries the Message Content, the Receiver Count, the Credit Spent and a status of Sent, Operating or Unsuccessful.
Check here before re-sending anything. A large send takes a moment to work through, and a second attempt reaches everyone twice.
